Ford has halted production of the true full frame (body on frame) E - Series work vans in 2014 and now what they are putting out (Transits - that only come with a V6 and NO FRAME) are not designed to take on any sort of heavy duty application. Ford DOES still continue to use the E Series Cab and Chassis for RV's, Ambulances and Box Trucks - which is an admission that the Transit simply cannot handle anything heavy duty. (Read reviews from people who bought them on Edmunds.com & Kbb.com).
